October 15, 2026 · Cas

Whering is the better choice if you want a free wardrobe app with no item limit and social features, on iPhone or Android today. Looqa.ai suits you if you want AI to sort your clothes, outfit suggestions from your own wardrobe for an occasion you name, and an app in Dutch as well as English, with cost per wear in the free plan.

Looqa.ai is our own app. We compare it on the same criteria as the others, say what it does not do, and date every price. How we compare

What are the main differences?

Price model. Whering is free and earns from optional credits and one-off purchases. Looqa.ai has a free plan with a limit and a Pro subscription; see the pricing.

Getting clothes in. Both remove the background from your photos. Looqa.ai fills in category, colour, pattern, season and style itself, and fills in the name, brand and price from a product link. Whering leans on its large item database and a Chrome extension for saving items from shops.

Language. Looqa.ai is fully available in Dutch and English. Whering's app is in six languages, not including Dutch.

Platforms. Whering is on iPhone and Android now. Looqa.ai works in your browser and is invite-only for now; its iPhone app is coming to the App Store and Android follows later.

When is Whering the better choice?

When you want to digitise a large wardrobe for free and do not mind English, Whering gives you the most room without paying. Its social side, with friends' closets and moodboards, is also something Looqa.ai does not have.

When is Looqa.ai the better choice?

When you want the app to do the sorting, want outfit ideas that only use what you own, and want to see what you actually wear. The AI stylist suggests outfits for an occasion you name, the planner puts them on a calendar, and closet analytics show which share of your wardrobe you wear and what items cost per wear.

Can you use both?

Yes, nothing stops you, but a wardrobe app is most useful when one of them is complete. Start with what you wear now in the app you prefer; adding the rest later is quicker than keeping two closets in sync. More apps side by side: the best digital wardrobe apps of 2026.
